Job Description

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for establishing results-producing relationships with the referral community including physicians, payers, and other external potential partners. Coordinate with the executive leadership team and sales & marketing professionals current market trends to propose new business ideas that can improve revenue.





  • Collaborate with operational leaders to execute on strategic plans.
  • Build collaborative and consultative relationships with professionals in the healthcare referral community and with internal clinical partners.
  • Build market position by locating, developing, and closing business relationships.
  • Locate and/or propose new potential business deals by contacting potential partners.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
  • Conduct extensive new referral source development program including cold calls, drop-ins, etc.
  • Develop pipeline of potential new referral prospects.
  • Connect practitioners to potential referral sources through formal presentations, educational events, etc.
  • Facilitate relationship management between referral sources.
  • Develop account management plans to measure and monitor business flow from key referral sources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 2-5 years relevant business development, sales executive, or similar experience in healthcare
  • Prior Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
